Rocky River senior citizens selling ice cream for a good cause | Community Spirit
We all scream for ice cream, especially when it's for a good cause. Two senior living facilities in Rocky River, The Harbor Court and Rockport Independent & Assisted Living, have teamed up with the Mr. iSee ice cream truck to raise funds for the Foundation for Fighting Blindness.
Each senior living community will hold its own event, where the Mr. iSee ice cream truck sells ice cream bars, popsicles and ice-cream cups for $1 each, with all proceeds benefiting the Foundation for Fighting Blindness.
· On Tuesday, July 24 from 2-4 p.m., the Mr. iSee truck will be at The Harbor Court, 22900 Center Ridge Road, Rocky River.
· On Tuesday, August 21 from 2-4 p.m., the Mr. iSee truck will be at Rockport Independent & Assisted Living, 20375 Center Ridge Road, Rocky River.
"Our goal is to raise at least $100 at each property," says Kathi Greco, community relations director at The Harbor Court. "Come out and enjoy some cool treats on a warm afternoon and help a good cause at the same time."
