Crime
Rocky River car break-ins

The Rocky River police chief is warning residents about thefts from cars.  Chief Kelly Stillman sent out an e-mail alert on the 4th of July.

Stillman says the vehicles were parked on the north end of the city. Residents living on Beaconsfield, Smith Court, Roslyn and Frazier were targeted.

The Chief says thieves entered the unlocked vehicles and stole valuables which were left in plain view.

In all cases, the vehicles were un-locked. Stillman reminds residents to lock your cars and "put your junk in your trunk".  What criminals don't see they can't get their hands on.

Be vigilant of night time activity and call police if you see ANYTHING that looks out of place.
