The City of Fairview Park will begin collecting household hazardous waste again on a monthly basis beginning April 1. The first Monday of each month, from 11:00 AM to 6:30 PM, the Service Department will collect computer equipment, small electrical appliances, phone books, and household hazardous waste.

Accepted household waste items include oil or solvent-based paint only, sealers, primers or coatings (aerosols or liquids), varnishes, polyurethanes, shellacs, paint thinner, mineral spirits, turpentine, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, caustic household cleaners, pool chemicals, automotive fluids, motor oil, car batteries, adhesives, roof tar, driveway sealer, kerosene, gasoline, lighter fluid, mercury, and fluorescent bulbs.

Please note - items not accepted: NO LATEX PAINT; medical waste, pharmaceuticals, medicine, sharps, no tires. No containers will be returned.

Please call the Service Department at 440-356-4410 for disposal guidelines for these items.

Weekly yard waste pick up begins again the week of April 15 on your normal collection day. Should you have yard waste before then, you may place it in your blue trash cart.

Beginning the week of April 15 you may resume placing yard waste in brown paper craft bags or in your yard waste containers marked "yard waste."

The City will once again have a shredding truck available for Fairview Park residents.

The first shredding day is Saturday, May 11. Residents may bring two paper sized boxes of material to be shredded.

Please bring identification.
