Summer is here and the time is right to go swimming! Many North Olmsted residents will be getting their pools ready for the dog days of summer, while others will be installing new pools. When you either install a new pool or replace an old pool with a new one, you need to check with the Building Department.
Permits are required for pools. In some cases there will be electrical work connected with the pool installation, such as pumps, filters, or heaters.
These installations require electrical permits.
Pools also need to be enclosed by a fence, or have a cover in place that will be on the pool when not in use.
This will prevent children from getting into the pool when not in use.
