North Olmsted text messages | News
The City of North Olmsted is offering a text messaging service for residents to receive the latest city information, community updates, and safety alerts. Residents have the opportunity to subscribe for free to the City’s VIP TEXT LIST by texting T724 (message) to 36000.
Standard rates and messaging services will apply; residents with inclusive and unlimited text messages in their plans will not be charged for the service.
Residents can receive up to 5 text messages per month. The service is powered by HomePages.
The only information required to opt-in to the VIP Text List is a mobile number. Residents can be assured that according to HomePages and the FCC their mobile number is secure and will not be sold to a third party.
The VIP Text List is a great opportunity to send an instant text message to residents of North Olmsted. Types of message may include city events, safety alerts, road closures, Fire and Police announcements, and/or weather advisories.
Mayor Kennedy agrees that the service will create a resourceful avenue to the residents about city information that may directly affect them and their families.
“We are always looking for tools to assist in communicating city news to the residents. The VIP Text List has the potential to be an effective resource in reaching out to a large population of our residents instantly”.
The program will complement the City’s other resources for communication such as the Mayor’s E-Newsletter, city’s website, cable channel, and the new digital city sign at Lorain and Dover Center Road.
