Bain Park now on the National Register of Historic Places | News
A dedication ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 8 at Bain Park Cabin in Fairview Park to celebrate the official listing of Bain Park on the National Register of Historic Places.
The National Register is the list of properties recognized by the federal government as being worthy of preservation for their local, state, or national historic significance.
Mayor Eileen Ann Patton will make a short presentation, unveiling a plaque cast specially to commemorate the occasion.
An ice cream social will follow the presentation. Ice cream will be provided by Weber's Premium Custard and Ice Cream and will be available for a minimum $1.00 donation with proceeds going to the Bain Park Restoration Fund.
The Fairview Park Historical Society Museum and Archives, located inside Bain Park Cabin, will also be open during the event. Stop by and help celebrate a piece of Fairview Park history.
The ceremony begins at 5:30 PM.
