Friend of the Week is a regular feature to introduce furry friends in the community who need loving and caring homes.  Please help these deserving animals find their forever guardians or consider adopting an animal yourself.  NFW West: Available for Adoption

The NFW Challenge 2012:   306 / 350 Adoptions

This amazing canine is nothing short of a piece of rusty gold.  Poor Rusty was the victim of a divorce.  His person dumped him at the pound when his family split up.  Since the shelter was full, Rusty was the first scheduled to be put down.  Thankfully, he was rescued in time.  The only thing we can figure is that because Rusty is so amazing, if one person could not have him, his old family must have decided no one could have him.

But their loss can be your gain.  Rusty is not just a piece of rusty gold by name and color.  This gorgeous 10-year-old is a very good boy.  He is an experienced guy who knows how to behave in a home and fill space in a heart.  Rusty needs a safe and happy home to live out the rest of his years in peace and comfort.  He will fit right in and give you all the love in his heart.

To adopt Rusty today, contact Midwest Small Dog Rescue in Elyria at rgbalusik@bex.net or visit their Petfinder website.
