It looks like winter is not quite done with us yet. As many of us are waking up to a white ground this morning, take a moment to think how nice it would be to cuddle up and stay warm with a furry Friend. We have found just the guy for you, and he absolutely loves playing in the snow too. It is the perfect time to get to know this amazing guy. Once you do, you can join us in saying, “Great Scott!!! How is this furry Friend still up for adoption?!?”

Scottie is a young Scottish terrier with lots of love to give. He is an adorable pup with the personality to match. His energy and spunk will always keep you entertained with a smile on your face. He loves to jump and play too. Scottie would make a great addition to any family and is waiting for you at the shelter. Neighborhood Friend of the Week: Ruthie

This week, we have a special helper selecting our furry, featured Friends. Brian James is a 13-years-old seventh grader from Strongsville, Ohio. For a school assignment, he was asked to develop a plan of action to volunteer outside of the norm. So this week, Brian found animals in need of loving homes and wrote articles for the Neighborhood Friend of the Week. Take a look at what Brian found out about Ruthie:

Are you looking for a companion who will love you forever? Well, there is only one dog for you! Her name is Ruthie. How fitting, even her name means friend or companion. Ruthie is a female boxer. She is about 5-years-old and weighs 48 pounds, which is a little skinny for her age. Ruthie would love a good home soon so she will have time to dish out all the love she has inside of her. Are you a PC person? Do you prefer the experience that a PC provides? Have you ever considered switching? It’s okay if you haven’t. But, we think we have finally found someone who will make you a Mack lover for the rest of your life. This furry Friend is 94 pounds of pure happiness. And, he just aims to please.

No matter what you are looking for, Mack is your boy! He is the best of both worlds. Mack loves to play ball, but he is always willing to cuddle up for some good rest and relaxation. Neighborhood Friend of the Week: Pandora

Are you willing to open Pandora’s Box? Don’t worry; this special feline is keeping only good things in there – lots of love, companionship, and great memories. Pandora just needs a special forever home where she can share her gifts. As you can see, Pandora is all ready to hop into a home in time for the Easter celebration. There is no better time for new beginnings, like the start of a life with Pandora.

Pandora was picked up as a stray, and it was quickly discovered that she was pregnant. Pandora gave birth to five beautiful kittens. She was a fantastic mother, and her kittens all were quickly adopted. Now, Pandora is spayed and ready to find a home of her own. She is a laid back cat who would love a nice window to look out. But, she also makes time for some good playing. So say “yes” to Pandora today, and let the smiles begin.

Neighborhood Friend of the Week: Kojak

There are a couple mysteries here that no one can seem to figure out. The first is why those who have had this special guy in their life have not given him the care and love he deserves. This one seems to be a cold case. The second mystery is why Kojak is still in a rescue instead of a loving home. While we are completely baffled on this one too, Kojak is working hard on the case. He is trying to find the perfect guardian(s) who will love him forever.

Kojak is truly a big teddy bear who wants nothing more than to be loved. He loves to go on walks and play, but his favorite activity is simply being a big lug. He always wants to cuddle and be around people, offering all his enormous love. Although it would be better for children to be older because of his size, Kojak is especially good with kids. This lover just wants to be the king of the castle. So if you are looking for an answer to “Who loves ya, baby?” look no further than Kojak.

Neighborhood Friend of the Week: Frankie

“You’re just too good to be true; can’t take my eyes off of you. At long last love has arrived, and I thank God I’m alive. You’re just too good to be true; can’t take my eyes off of you” (Frankie Valli). We can hardly take our eyes off this beautiful guy, and to have him as a companion would be just too good to be true. Frankie has so much love to add to your life.

Frankie is a fun little guy. He loves to play and have a great time, making memories to last a lifetime. He excelled at his foster home, getting along with other cats, dogs, and especially people. Most of all, Frankie loves attention. Pick him up, give him some pets, and Frankie will turn into a real purr machine. So when you’re feeling like you’ll never see the morning light, turn to Frankie for a love that will last through all four seasons.
