NOHS student places 3rd in Ohio Stock Market Simulation

North Olmsted High School Survey of Business Student, Rachel Graf, finished the 10 week stock simulation in 3rd place. Graf ended the stock challenge with a 14.10% return.

New North Olmsted Superintendent

The North Olmsted City Schools Board of Education took action at a special meeting on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, to hire Dr. Michael E. Zalar, Ph.D. as the new Superintendent beginning August 1, 2013. Dr. Zalar is currently the Superintendent of the Oregon City Schools in Oregon, Ohio where he has served since 2008.

Kick-it for Cancer in North Olmsted

St. Richard School Elementary in North Olmsted will be closing its doors forever on June 5, 2013. As one of their last events, the students and staff will participate in a Kick-it for Cancer fundraiser on May 30.

North Olmsted High School Seniors

The North Olmsted High School Class of 2013 earned over $6,000,000 in college scholarship offers and was awarded $67,000 from the community. Aravind Kalluri, Patrick Wu, Victoria Yee andSpencer Furin are the Top Scholars for North Olmsted High School’s Class of 2013.

Tulips bloom in Rocky River 9/11 Memorial Garden

Students from Rocky River Middle School and members of the Rocky River Fire Department enjoy the 9/11 Memorial Garden.

Firefighters helped the students replant the garden last fall and recently stopped by to enjoy the tulips in bloom.

Rocky River High School senior Alexa Fedynsky won 2nd place in a regional French speaking competition - Concours de la Maison Française. Her prize was $400.
