Fairview Superintendent receives leadership award | Schools
Fairview Park City Schools Superintendent Brion Deitsch has been named the recipient of the Buckeye Association of School Administrators' [BASA] 2013 Warren Russell Leadership Award.
Deitsch received the award during the BASA Fall Conference. The award, established in 2003, was created to honor the memory of Warren Russell, deputy executive director of the Ohio School Boards Association, and an educational leader in Ohio.
The award is given to the BASA member who exemplifies superior leadership and has made a significant impact on the legislative and rule making process as it relates to education statewide.
Superintendent Deitsch has made a tremendous impact at Fairview Park City Schools through his innovative leadership and countless initiatives including The Gemini Project, the passage of a 5.9-mill levy in 2006 and the innovative one-to-one computer initiative, launched in 2010.
"I am deeply humbled to be honored in this way by my fellow colleagues," said Superintendent Deitsch. "This award will serve as constant inspiration to myself and staff members to always go above and beyond on behalf of our children."
