Office Max surprises Birch teacher | Schools
North Olmsted Office Max staff and Birch Principal Frank Samerigo surprised 3rd grade teacher Barb Lavelle, as part of the national "A Day Made Better" event. Office Max donated over $1,000 in classroom supplies to Barb's class, and a full pallet of supplies donated by Office Max customers and corporations to Birch School.
Office Max Manager, Paul Cluggish, brought smiles to Mrs. Lavelle and her students with a bouquet of flowers and a box brimming with markers, folders, a camera, glue sticks, a laminating machine, and much more.
The annual "A Day Made Better" advocacy program works with the Adopt A Classroom initiative to help ease the burden on teachers. Teachers are nominated by their Principal for demonstrating passion, dedication and innovation in the classroom.
