Search process for President of Magnificat High School | Schools

Magnificat School officials are taking important steps in the search process for their next President, in order to ensure a new leader effective July 2013. Sister Carol Anne Smith concludes her term of leadership this school year.

First, the Board of Directors has appointed a Search Committee whose members are listed below along with a snapshot of their experience. We will have much to thank them for, to be sure, as this exciting process is highly demanding of their time.

Second, they have engaged Carney, Sandoe & Associates (CS&A) and their top consultants for Catholic and Girls' schools, Tim McIntire and Marlene Shaw.

These two educational leaders have both served as Heads (Presidents) of like-kind schools before their search careers, and bring special knowledge that fits our needs.

On February 12 and 13, the consultants will visit Magnificat for the express purpose of learning our school, meeting students, and developing a comprehensive Position Description for the discernment of candidates.

In April, finalists will visit campus to meet the community. Once those visits occur and feedback received, the Search Committee will recommend the successful candidate to the Board and the Sisters of the Humility of Mary for appointment.
