NOHS proposed schedule change | Schools
Title (Max 100 Characters)
The North Olmsted High School principal is proposing new start and end times for the 2013/2014 school year.
The school day would start at 7:20 a.m. - which is twenty-five minutes earlier than the current schedule. The instructional day would end at 2:28 p.m. - which is thirty-seven minutes earlier than the current ending time.
From 2:28 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. each day, an Academic Intervention and Collaboration period would be created, where students can meet with their teachers if they are struggling.
The driving force behind the proposal is the Academic Intervention and Collaboration period. If there is a common concern voiced by both students and teachers, it is the inability in the current schedule to meet with students outside of class time.
No word yet on when a decision will be made on the proposed schedule change.
