Every school district should have a school physician and every school building a school nurse, according to a new policy statement from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

Both recess and physical education in schools promote activity and a healthy lifestyle, and should be a daily break for young children and adolescents. A new policy statement from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), “The Crucial Role of Recess in Schools,” will be published in the January 2013 issue of Pediatrics.

Students at Rocky River Middle School and High School are sending snowflakes to decorate the school that the students from Sandy Hook, CT will move into after the holidays.

Betty Dabrowski, a veteran and devoted science teacher at Magnificat, is a winner of The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Foundation Educator Achievement Award. Dabrowski is one of seven so distinguished in the nation this year!

The Performing Arts Department of Magnificat High School presents Peter Pan. The production is the Broadway musical version that parallels the performances made famous by Mary Martin and Cathy Rigby, including the famous flying scenes.
