Fairview Senior Life Office offering tax-preparation assistance | Shopping & Services

The Fairview Senior Life Office will offer tax-preparation assistance through AARP's Community Service Program.

This program assists people with filing their Federal  and State returns.

Volunteers are IRS-trained and certified and will be available each Tuesday beginning February 7th through April 10th from 11:45 am till 2:00 pm.

Individual and business taxpayers will no longer receive paper income tax packages in the mail from the IRS.

The IRS is taking this step because of the continued growth in electronic filing and the availability of free options to taxpayers, as well as to help reduce costs.
